The website (ember.computer)

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party trackers. We don't build a profile of you for visiting. Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and reliability; we don't use them to identify or track you.

When you buy Ember

Payments are processed by Stripe. To complete your purchase and send your receipt, Stripe handles your name, email address, and card details. We never see or store your card number. We receive a record of the sale — your email and the fact that you purchased — which we use only to deliver your download, provide support, and process refunds. We do not sell, rent, or share it.

When you email us

If you write to contact@ember.computer, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and follow up. That's it.

The app itself

Ember runs entirely on your machine. There's no account, no login, and no cloud. Your conversations, your memory, and everything Ember learns about you live only on your device — they are never uploaded to us or anyone else. By default the app makes no network connections at all; the only time it touches the network is for an optional capability you explicitly grant (for example, fetching a larger model with your OK). You can confirm zero network egress yourself from the app's Privacy screen and from your own terminal.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, there's little to request — but you can always email us to ask what we have, get a copy, or have it deleted, and we'll honor it. If you're in the EU/EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR / Swiss FADP, including access, correction, and erasure.
